Memoir Writing Class
May 12, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, repeating until May 26, 2021

We all have a story to tell, whether it’s about our life, our childhood or our family. Knowing how to begin that story can be the stumbling block. Join Laura Cavers, Readers’ Advisor and writing instructor at New Canaan Library as she demonstrates how to begin the process, and how to bring the story to completion. This class is open to all levels of writing; the only necessary element is a desire to write your personal story. The class meets for three consecutive weeks; at completion, participants will be asked to share their work with their classmates in a short anthology.
REGISTER HERE – This class has reached capacity and is closed. More writing programs to come in June and July.
Laura Cavers is Reader Advisor at New Canaan Library and Writing Instructor at New Canaan Library and Darien Library for over 10 years. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from Manhattanville College and is writing a novel, Bellwethers over Lenox.
