January 24 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Location: Lamb Room

Medical emergencies are stressful enough – not knowing the patient’s preferences make it all the more so. As a parent ages, it’s vital to be prepared for decisions that need to be made. The panel will cover topics such as helping parents choose a medical advocate, deciding on DNR orders, and what to expect in the Emergency Room. The panel will be moderated by Nicola Holzberger, Director of Member Services, Staying Put in New Canaan, and will include a discussion by Sherman Bull, MD (Stamford Health) and cover topics such as palliative care by Kristin Edwards, MD (Yale-New Haven Health) and legal documents and directives by Michelle Beltrano, J.D., R.N. (Beltrano Law).
