Downsizing in New Canaan: What are your options?

This panel will discuss what is currently available and plans for developing an independent-living senior residence in New Canaan. According to Staying Put board President Judy Bentley, “There are discussions underway about additional independent living alternatives in New Canaan for older adults. While we have many wonderful resources, like Staying Put, which help seniors live independently as they age, there are people who want to remain in town without the burden of maintaining a home and with the modern amenities that independent communities provide. As both devoted volunteers and financial supporters, our seniors helped build our community into what it is today. It would be nice for them to have another independent living option so that they can remain in New Canaan.”
