NewsGuard Informational Session: NC Library & NewsGuard’s New Partnership

New this month– New Canaan Library installed NewsGuard on its tech center computers! With NewsGuard’s browser extension installed, visitors to the Library have access to “Nutrition Label” reviews of thousands of news and information websites. These reviews indicate the reliability of the site, based on multiple criteria, and show up next to links in search results and on social media feeds.

This decision bloomed from the Library’s desire to provide community members with a tool that would help them to critically evaluate the vast amount of information a single web search generates.

Drop in and learn more about how NewsGuard works. Two informational sessions will take place on Weds., September 25 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM. This is a drop-in event; no registration required.
