Join us for the first in a six-part lecture series on the origins of our constitutional rights, the Equal Rights Amendment. Jean Sweeney will discuss the history of the Equal Rights Amendment, its impact, and continued efforts to see it passed.  Her talk will be followed by a screening of the short documentary, Legalize Equality.

JEAN SWEENEY is the founder and president of Rethinking Eve, an influencer for women’s rights.  A New York attorney, award winning photographer, Kripalu trained yoga teacher, writer, and public speaker; Jean is passionate about getting the Equal Rights Amendment ratified.  She is working with the grassroots activists for the 3 State Solution and for removing the ERA ratification deadline in Congress. A longtime resident of Fairfield County, she has been married to attorney David Maloof for 28 years.
