July 18, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on July 25, 2018 at 4:00 pm

Location: MakerLab

Crazy quilting has been responsible for some of the most unusual quilt designs over the last two centuries. This unique improvised method is created by piecing random shapes of luxury fabrics like satins, brocades and velvets.

For the first session on July 18, we will construct a rectangle of this stunning colorful patchwork.

The following week at the July 25 class, we will hand embroider the crazy quilt patchwork we created in class #1.
Feather stitch, chain stitch, french knot and other stitches will be taught and practiced on our sample piece. 90 minutes should be enough time to fill the sample.

**Participants must be able to commit to both the July 18 & July 25 classes. Must be at least eleven years in age & have been certified or already familiar with a sewing machine. Class is open to adults and teens.**
