In this workshop, professional storyteller Adam Wade will focus on the power of narrative stories, how to nurture your ideas, and creativity. Adam will begin with the key elements of telling a story, then explain how to take personal experiences from your life and create stories that are universal and identifiable. Whether you’re a Moth Slam Champion in the making, a writer who loves the art of putting together a great story, or someone who wants to be more comfortable speaking in front of a group, this class is for you! Participants who wish to share their story widely will have an opportunity to do so at the virtual storytelling performance on November 14th at 5pm.

Adam Wade’s unique audio memoir You Ought to Know Adam Wade was released in January 2020 and was produced by Audible. It was the #1 new release in the Performing Arts category on both Audible and Amazon for 4 straight weeks. His debut storytelling/comedy album Adam Wade: The Human Comedy was enthusiastically lauded in Sarah Larson’s profile of Adam in The New Yorker. An inimitable fixture in both the New York City storytelling and comedy scenes, Adam is the winner of 20 SLAMS at The Moth. He has toured across North America with The Moth Main Stage and his stories have appeared on The Moth Radio Hour, The Moth Podcast, and the PBS television show Stories from the Stage. He has also acted on HBO’s Girls and Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer.
