UN Committee of New Canaan Lecture: Managing Climate Risk

April 22, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Location: Lamb Room

We are delighted to celebrate Earth Day with the UN Committee of New Canaan by welcoming Radley Horton and Drew Magratten.  This lecture will cover the growing realization across diverse sectors of society that climate change is altering the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events.  Horton and Magratten will illuminate the scientific foundation behind this large shift in extreme event statistics and will also discuss the societal impacts, including economic and security issues, across local to international scales.  Recent developments in the climate solutions space, specifically greenhouse gas mitigation and adaptation to climate change will also be discussed.
