An event every week that begins at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating until July 6, 2020

Location: Online

The Library usually teaches community members how to use virtual reality technology on Tuesday afternoons under normal circumstances. Even though we are currently closed due to the public health crisis underway, we still want to direct community members’ attention to virtual museum trips they can take online.

The Library is connected to 24 museums and parks in the Greater New York City area and lends New Canaanites museum passes to these institutions when open. Virtually visit the Guggenheim this month to learn about the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building, view its magnificent collections, and more.

  1. Click here to tour the building. Listen to the recordings marked “Hear Guggenheim Staff and 99% Invisible’s Roman Mars on the Museum’s Architecture” while scrolling through the 18 photos featured right below it.
  2. Click here to enjoy interviews with artists from all over the world through the Guggenheim’s YouTube channel.
  3. Click here to explore the Guggenheim’s virtual offerings for children and teens.
  4. Click here to explore the Solomon R. Guggenheim collection.
