Join Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo curator, Jim Knox as he profiles Delia Owens’, Where The Crawdad’s Sing, through a naturalist’s eyes. Explore marsh ecosystems to learn what makes them so precious to the health of our planet. Dive into the world of Connecticut’s wetlands to learn what we can all do to protect them. Meet beautiful ambassador animals up close and discover their remarkable adaptations firsthand. Photography is encouraged and all ages are welcome.
JIM KNOX is a Zoologist, Cornell University graduate, TEDX Speaker, Keynote speaker, Curator of Education (Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo), field conservationist (Alaska-Grizzly bears, New England-Atlantic salmon, South Africa-Great White sharks), and Lecturer: Yale University, UCONN, Fairfield University, PBS Host (Wild Zoofari).
