Loosely Leonardo Da Vinci: Young Artists’ Exhibition!

Calling all young artists!  Come be inspired by our Gallery installation of Ahmet Ertuğ’s impressive photographs of Leonardo’s Last Supper or other of Leonardo’s works and become a gallery artist yourself!  Visit the Children’s Room to pick up a 12”x 12” canvas (first come first served; limit one per child) and view the works in the Gallery, then create something of your choosing loosely inspired by the masterworks.  Submissions due by Friday, 3/27.

Be creative!  Use materials from home to affix or apply to your canvas.  In addition, access to Library art supplies will be provided on Wednesday, March 11 from 4-6PM and on Saturday, March 21 from 1-3PM in the Children’s Program Room.

Finished canvases will be on display in our Gallery during our upcoming youth exhibition in the Curtis Gallery, “Leonardo Perspectives,” which will run from March 31-April 13.  Work may be picked up after April 14.  Contact the Children’s Room at 203.594.5002 or [email protected] with any questions.
