Book Groups for Kids & Teens

Join Miss Rebecca each month for our K-1st Book Club, featuring hands-on games and crafts!  Little Bookworms read and discuss a book together during the class, then do crafts and play games inspired by that month’s read.

Book Explorers is a book club for 2nd & 3rd graders that meets monthly.  Read the book selection at home, then join us to discuss the book while engaging in fun hands-on activities inspired by that month’s selection.

Young Critics is a monthly book group for grades 4-6. Read the book at home, then join Librarian Rebecca Fox each month to discuss the book, enjoy some pizza, and chat with your friends! We’ll play games and do crafts inspired by the read.

Tweens and teens in grades 5-8, join us monthly to discuss a book, make some new friends, and brainstorm ways that you can make real, positive changes in your community. All are welcome. Leaders from LiveGirl, S.T.A.R, and New Canaan Library will be on hand to guide the discussion and to help you transform ideas into actions.

Middle schoolers in grades 6-8, join us each month for a book discussion, games, and pizza. You can pick up each month's selection at the Library to read at home before the meeting. We'll also vote on the book for next month.
