Join the STATE DEBATE CHAMPION for a fun and interactive ADVANCED DEBATE WORKSHOP! Emma Hassan, an upcoming junior at New Canaan High School, brings seven years of debate experience, having worked at a debate camp this summer and served as the high school liaison for Saxe’s Model UN team. In this workshop, students in grades 6 through 8 with prior debate experience or class participation will refine advanced public speaking strategies, explore debate styles, and master effective rebuttal techniques through engaging activities. Perfect for experienced debaters looking to sharpen their skills, this workshop offers a challenging and exciting experience for all!
Sign-ups will be limited to 6th-8th graders.

Youth Participation Guidelines
If your child is under 12 years old, an adult caregiver must remain in the Children’s Room for the duration of the program. If your child finishes a program early, or if a child becomes ill, distressed, or behaves in a manner that interferes with other participants’ enjoyment of the program, they may be released into the Children’s Room before the program’s end time. Please ensure that your child knows exactly where to find you at all times.
