Join us for an engaging author talk with historian Amanda Bellows, as she discusses her latest book, The Explorers: A New History of America in Ten Expeditions. In this captivating work, Bellows brings to life the stories of ten extraordinary—yet often overlooked—American adventurers, who defied societal boundaries and ventured into the unknown. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from a leading historian and gain new insights into America's most intrepid explorers. A Q&A session and book signing will follow the talk.

Amanda Bellows is a historian of the United States and teaches undergraduates at The New School in New York City. She received her Ph.D. in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has published writing in the New York TimesWashington Post, Wall Street JournalSmithsonian Magazine, and elsewhere. She is also the author of American Slavery and Russian Serfdom in the Post-Emancipation Imagination, published by UNC Press.
