ArtScapades will be exploring the most famous horse paintings throughout art history. ArtScapades will look at the different roles of horses in art, and discuss the allure horses have had for artists beginning at the dawn of time, and moving through to modern and contemporary images. Included in this lecture are works by George Stubbs, Rosa Bonheur, Edgar Degas, Pablo Picasso, Lucien Freud, and many more.

Robin Hoffman and Jodi Stiffelman, of ArtScapades, began teaching art appreciation in 1998. They have presented at libraries, art centers, and museums in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Florida, and have been lecturing at New Canaan Library since 2010.
