ArtScapades will focus on how artists captured night scenes in different periods of art beginning in Medieval times, moving through Impressionism, and continuing on to modern and contemporary images.   

Included in this lecture are works by Rembrandt, Georges de La Tour, Claude Monet, James McNeill Whistler, Vincent van Gogh, Henri Rousseau, Childe Hassam, Edward Hopper, René Magritte, Roy Lichtenstein, and many more.  

About the Presenters: Robin Hoffman and Jodi Stiffelman, of ArtScapades, began teaching art appreciation in 1998. They have presented at libraries, art centers, and museums in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Florida, and have been lecturing at New Canaan Library since 2010.
