Event Details

The beauty and power of the seas has fascinated artists since the beginning of time. ArtScapades looks at depictions of the sea over the centuries, from 17th century realistic seascapes to 20th century abstract water views. Featured artists include JMW Turner, Casper Friedrich, Claude Monet, Gustave Caillebotte, Paul Signac, and Winslow Homer.

About the Presenters: Robin Hoffman and Jodi Stiffelman, of ArtScapades, began teaching art appreciation in 1998. They have presented at libraries, art centers, and museums in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Florida, and have been lecturing at New Canaan Library since 2010.
