New Canaan’s very own gourmet cheese shop, Plum Plums Cheese, will be on hand in our teaching kitchen to talk “Cheese 101” and How to Prepare a Perfect Party Platter. Watch and learn as the platter comes to life, while sampling a curated selection of farmstead cheeses along the way. All attendees will be entered into a drawing to win the finished platter!

Gayle Martin is a Certified Cheese Professional, one of fewer than 1,000 in the world. After many years in the corporate world of wine marketing, she followed her love of fine food and took over a small cheese shop in Pound Ridge, NY in 2014. Since then she has devoted her time to discovering farmstead cheesemakers and artisanal products from around the globe. One of her favorite things in life is when a customer comes back to say how much they enjoyed the treats from their last visit, and what should they try this time? She and her husband Michael Riahi moved their shop to Cherry Street in New Canaan in 2021 and fell in love with our community so much, they moved here, too!
