Program Description

Event Details

Do you love to draw? Join a few New Canaan High School juniors for a fun-filled, hour-long drawing class on Saturday afternoon! We will be drawing tropical birds, such as the toucan, kingfisher and lorikeet. Students will start with familiarizing themselves with colored pencil techniques, then draw the bird and background of their choice. Materials will be provided.

*These classes are organized by NCHS junior Amy Meng, who has extensive experience in drawing and illustration. All art instructors have taken/are taking AP Drawing or AP 2D Art.

Youth Participation Guidelines

If your child is under 12 years old, an adult caregiver must remain in the Children’s Room for the duration of the program. If your child finishes a program early, or if a child becomes ill, distressed, or behaves in a manner that interferes with other participants’ enjoyment of the program, they may be released into the Children’s Room before the program’s end time. Please ensure that your child knows exactly where to find you at all times.
