Event Details
This month, Cooks & Books will celebrate the flavors of Japan. Inspired by the cherry blossom festival in Washington, D.C., which happens at the end of March, let's push away winter and celebrate spring's coming with Japan's food.
Cooks & Books is a cooking experience done at home in your own kitchen. The library curates a selection of cookbooks for registered participants to check out. The books will be located behind the Welcome Desk and ready for checkout at the beginning of the month of March.
This month we are focusing on Japanese cuisine (no sushi or sashimi.) Cook and experiment to your heart's content and choose a Japanese recipe/dish you would like to bring to the Cooks & Books: Spring Forward Japanese Style potluck dinner on March 27. We will discuss each dish and learn from each other what worked, what didn't work, where to get ingredients, etc.
