Program Description
Event Details
Join our friends from ASML, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chip-making equipment with a location in Wilton, CT to learn what microchip manufacturing and microscopes have in common. We'll start the session by learning about what ASML does and the type of scientists that work in their field of designing and manufacturing lithography machines that are an essential component in chip manufacturing. We'll spend the rest of our time with a hands-on activity that illustrates the power of lenses, whether when used in chip manufacturing or microscopes. We'll be making pocket-size microscopes with Foldscope kits and learning how to take images with our project. Your Foldscope will go home with you! For students in grades 4-8.
Registration opens March 1 at 8am.
