Join us in the Library's Lightburn Gallery as we celebrate the exciting intersection of the visual and literary arts. Using an age-old technique called ekphrastic writing, the Library’s Saturday morning writers group created 500-word-or-less flash pieces of vivid, often dramatic, descriptions of art using the "My Story Revealed" art show that is currently hanging in the gallery. Curated by Creative Connections, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting and empowering 4th - 12th grade student voices around the world, the work is drawn from the organization's award-winning Global Voices - ArtLink Program.
A wine and cheese reception featuring short explanations by the writers and commentary from the Creative Connections will round out the evening. Join us!
