Opening Reception "My Story Revealed: Global Culture & Identity"

"My Story Revealed: The Art of Global Culture & Identity" opens in the Lightburn Gallery! Curated by Creative Connections, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting global understanding and empowering student voices through the arts, the show features storytelling and art by 4^th-12^th graders from around the world. 

Whether their pieces are beautifully rendered or simply drawn, delightful or thought provoking, the young artists have expressed their identities, shared their stories, and conveyed the aspects of their lives and society they treasure – or are concerned about. This collection includes youth voices from 28 ArtLink partner countries, transcending political systems and geographical boundaries. Art is a universal language, and the viewer is invited to reflect on their own story, cultivating a deeper sense of empathy and appreciation for the multi-faceted tapestry of human experiences we are all part of.
