We are excited to bring you a curriculum of cooking classes in 2025. Kick off the year with Principles of Cooking.
In Principles of Cooking, you’ll dive deep into the heart of culinary techniques! Learn the essential cooking methods—air, fat, water, or steam—and discover how to harness their full potential. Chef Lamour Workman has you covered, from understanding the right equipment to knowing exactly when to use each technique.
By the end of this class, you'll be able to decode any recipe confidently, recognizing which method works best and why. This newfound knowledge will open the door to your creative culinary freedom, allowing you to add your unique twist to every dish you create. Chef Lamour Workman demonstrates these methods and asks for attendee participation when applicable.
Registration for cooking programs opens one week before the class date at 9am.
The following cooking programs will be held on Saturdays from 10am-12pm:
2/15 Soups: Learn the steps to prepare a soup and the secrets that make it delicious.
3/8 Meat Cookery: Learn how to prepare various cuts of meat based on their grade and cut.
