Event Details
An illuminating conversation between local water experts on the condition of our local waterways and aquifers, and why conservation is necessary for biodiversity and supplies of clean water for our consumption. This program is co-sponsored by Planet New Canaan and the New Canaan Land Trust as part of Earth Month: New Canaan Celebrates Biodiversity.
Featured panelists are Louise Washer of the Norwalk River Watershed Association; Gerald Berrafati of Trout Unlimited; and Carolyn Giampe of Aquarion Water Company. Topics covered will include water flow, pesticides and toxins, Comstock Brook’s tale of two rivers, the Silvermine River as a drinking water source, and strategies for water conservation. There will be time for audience Q&A.
