Event Details
Author Julia Hotz draws on scientific studies to show how social interactions can significantly reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, boost immune function, and elevate our sense of purpose and inner peace. Presented in a panel with community partners including Silver Hill Hospital, New Canaan Community Foundation, and the Congregational Church of New Canaan.
Hotz focuses on the prescriptive power of five core elements: Movement, Nature, Art, Service, and Belonging, and posits that nurturing deep relationships not only fosters emotional resilience but also serves as a crucial antidote to the pervasive feelings of loneliness and disconnection in today’s society. With practical exercises and reflective prompts, the book guides readers in developing their emotional intelligence, deepening their connections, and incorporating spiritual practices into their daily lives.
Elm Street Books will be on site for book sales and signing.
