Parents and caregivers, join Inclusive Together and LINKED Autism Safety Project to learn how to build relationships between first responders and children with special needs. Learn how to engage & establish relationships with your community’s first responders. Come meet other special needs parents, share experiences & learn about more resources for helping your loved one in emergency situations.
About the presenter: Ashley McClain has a son with autism & is the Founder/Creator of LINKED Autism Safety Project. Ashley’s program specializes in helping municipalities understand the autism & neurodiverse community & how to best support them during an emergency. She just recently partnered with Inclusive Together & cohosted the Sensory-Friendly Public Safety Day at New Canaan Mounted Troop on October 6.
Ashley is a member of the State of Connecticut Council for Developmental Disabilities & is certified in Police Officer Standards Training & through the CT Department of Public Health Office of EMS. We are so happy she has come to help our community! You can reach Ashley at [email protected].
Library Parking
The Library leases 76 spaces marked "LIBRARY" in the Center School Lot to offer free parking for our patrons. All other numbered spaces in the lot remain municipal and are subject to metering rates. View more parking info here.
