Program Description

Event Details

Have you ever wanted to play Dungeons & Dragons? Maybe you've listened to Critical Role or The Adventure Zone and want to try for yourself? We are super excited to be kicking off two brand new D&D campaigns here at the library. These campaigns will be open to anyone between the ages of 12 and 18.

But, before we can play the game, we have to build our characters. Come to this introductory workshop and learn how to make a character and what all those numbers and dice are for. We'll provide the blank character sheets and reference books as well as snacks and drinks. At the end of the workshop, you'll be able to sign up for one of the campaigns.

Please note: if you are interested in participating in one of the campaigns, but cannot attend the workshop, please email Megan at [email protected] so we can be sure you have a character set up and ready to go!

Important Information

Accessibility and Accommodations

We strive to facilitate access to information and Library services for all patrons. If you have questions about accessibility or a request for accommodation, please phone 203-594-5002, email the librarian in charge of this program (see contact info above), or email [email protected] with as much lead time as possible.

Youth Participation Guidelines

If your child is under 12 years old, an adult caregiver must remain in the Children’s Room for the duration of the program. If your child finishes a program early, or if a child becomes ill, distressed, or behaves in a manner that interferes with other participants’ enjoyment of the program, they may be released into the Children’s Room before the program’s end time. Please ensure that your child knows exactly where to find you at all times.
