Join us for a lively conversation between New York Times bestselling author Laura Dave and her editor, New Canaan’s own Marysue Rucci, as they discuss her soon-to-be-released novel “The Night We Lost Him.” Laura Dave’s previous novel “The Last Thing He Told Me” sold over three million copies, was named a Reese Witherspoon Book Club Pick and is now a limited series on Apple TV+.

The talk will begin at 1pm in the Jim and Dede Bartlett Auditorium. The event will conclude with a book sale and signing with Elm Street Books, and a reception featuring a taste of the intriguing recipe from “The Night We Lost Him”: a strawberry balsamic pizza

Elm Street Books will be onsite to sell copies of "The Night We Lost Him".

Laura Dave is the #1 New York Times  bestselling author of several novels, including The Last Thing He Told Me and Eight Hundred Grapes. Her novels have been translated into thirty-eight languages, and six of them, including The Night We Lost Him, have been optioned for film and television. She resides in Santa Monica, California.

Marysue Rucci is vice president, publisher, and editor in chief of Marysue Rucci Books which she launched in 2021 after having been vice president and editor in chief of the Simon & Schuster imprint for nine years. Marysue acquires a range of bestselling and critically acclaimed fiction and narrative nonfiction. Over the course of her career, Marysue has worked with celebrated authors including Laura Dave, Jessica Knoll, Shonda Rhimes, Alice Hoffman, Paul Yoon, Mona Awad, Megan Miranda, Helen Phillips, Ann Leary, Rebecca Traister, and Vanessa Chan.
