Program Description

Event Details

Absolute beginner chess players in grades 1 to 12 and their adult family members, join Chessin1day.com rated* chess instructors to learn everything you need to know to get started. The teen instructors will introduce the rules of the game and help you think strategically. This program is ideal for youth and their adult family members who are brand-new to chess.

Child and Caregiver Participation Guidelines

This program is designed for children and their caregivers to participate together. Please plan to attend and be engaged with your child throughout this program. Please avoid side conversations or cell phone use for the duration of the program. Drop offs will not be permitted.

Youth Participation Guidelines

If your child is under 12 years old, an adult caregiver must remain in the Children’s Room for the duration of the program. If your child finishes a program early, or if a child becomes ill, distressed, or behaves in a manner that interferes with other participants’ enjoyment of the program, they may be released into the Children’s Room before the program’s end time. Please ensure that your child knows exactly where to find you at all times.
