April 17 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Location: Christine’s Garden

Did you know meeting a dog is like meeting a person? Did you also know that petting a dog is good for your health? Learn about how beneficial dogs are to our lives, and how beneficial we are to them, at Mutt-i-grees! Mutt-i-grees is a way to teach kids of all ages about vital social-emotional traits such as compassion and empathy. Plus, it’s a great way to meet a new friend!  Children will be able to meet and greet a dog to practice what they learn!  Perfect for children ages 3-8 with an adult.

Mutt-i-grees was created by North Shore Animal League and Yale University and is being presented by Stepping Stones Museum for Children thanks to a generous grant from the New Canaan Community Foundation.

This program will be outside in the Library’s ‘Christine’s Garden,’ located at the corner of South and Maple Streets.  In the event of rain, the program will be held indoors.
