Program Description
Event Details
Through deep research, Jennifer Wallace exposes the roots of achievement culture and shows that what kids need from the adults in the room is not more pressure, but to feel like they matter to thrive. Join Jennifer Wallace for a fireside chat, in conversation with NCPS Superintendent Dr. Bryan Luizzi.
Jennifer Wallace is the author of Never Enough: When Achievement Culture Becomes Toxic--and What We Can Do about It. Jennifer is an award-winning reporter, social commentator, and author. She frequently contributes to The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post.
This conversation is presented in partnership with New Canaan CARES, NCPS, Elm Street Books, the Town of New Canaan, and New Canaan Library. Books will be available for purchase the night of the event.
Please also join a follow-up conversation with New Canaan CARES, 10 a.m. October 10 (middle/high school parents) or 10 a.m. October 17 (preschool/elementary parents).
