Notable Reads Book Group Discussion

This group reads broadly, with a focus on literary award winners and well-reviewed fiction, translations, and indie bookstore reads. This month the group explores Ties - the leanest, most understated, and emotionally powerful novel (New York Times) by Italian author Domenico Starnone.

Ties brings 1970s Italy vividly to life with the politics and societal shifts of the time, as it centers on a marriage teetering on divorce and the resulting family dynamics.
