Age Group:
Tweens & TeensProgram Description
Event Details
Especially for women, knowing some basics of self-defense is important. Instructors from Club Kung Fu will lead a woman-focused self-defense workshop, organized into three phases:
1 - Verbal, visual, and psychological: to set up boundaries and to assess the threat
2 – Strikes: if physical persuasion is necessary, the best way to use palms, elbows, and knees
3 - Situation defense: defense against chokes, grabs, and mounts
Participants should come dressed comfortably or in attire normally worn going about their daily business. This class is designed for teens between the ages of 14 and 18. There is an adult version of the class on 6/29.
The goal is to get you home safe.
