This presentation urgently addresses the damage the Spotted Lantern Fly is wreaking on our landscape and what we can do about it. Co-sponsored by Planet New Canaan, the New Canaan Land Trust, New Canaan Nature Center, this talk by CAES scientist Dr. Claire Rutledge will cover the history, biology, potential impact, and management of this invasive insect.

Dr. Claire Rutledge is an Associate Agricultural Scientist at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station (CAES). She holds a Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Illinois. Her research specialty is wood-boring insects, and major areas of expertise are mating behavior and chemical ecology, tri-trophic interactions, and predator and parasitoid behavior.
