Event Details
Join us for a special night of stargazing at the library, where you'll see nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies through a powerful telescope! Before we look at the sky, we'll meet inside for a short talk about taking photos of these objects, including a never seen before new nebula, “Dancing Horse Nebula”, which I recently captured/discovered. We will also discuss how the city lights affect the dark sky and what can we do to help to reduce light pollution. This fun event is great for anyone who loves stars, from beginners to space fans. Come explore the wonders of the night sky!
We will be outside for a portion of this event. Please be sure to dress for the weather. You may come inside as needed to warm up. This event is for students in grades 5-9 and their families. Please register everyone in the family who will attend.
