Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a special night of stargazing at the library, where you'll see nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies through a powerful telescope! Before we look at the sky, we'll meet inside for a short talk about taking photos of these objects and how city lights make it harder to see them. This fun event is great for anyone who loves stars, from beginners to space fans. Come explore the wonders of the night sky!  Led by high school volunteer and astronomy enthusiast Michael Telesco.

This event is for students in grades 5-9 in Fall 2024 and their families.  Each student must attend with a grown-up as the viewing portion falls outside library hours.  Please include everyone who plans to attend in your registration.  Our rain or cloud date is Thursday, August 29 from 7:30-8:30.
