Join New Canaan Library, Camp Y-Ki and Town of New Canaan Recreation Summer Camp as we race cardboard boats to see who can make it across Kiwanis pond! Prizes will be awarded for speed, team spirit, and best design/most creative. Please review the rules before registering.
Working solo or with friends/siblings build a seaworthy boat! Those who register will get 3 (rolls of 60 yard)duct tape and a choice of cardboard as materials to start there build. Pick up for the supplies will start July 15th. Then plan to race it on July 25th at Kiwanis Park. For kids ages 5-16. Only 1 registration is needed per group. Please find full rules below! Feel free to drop-in to spectate even if you aren't racing.

Off-Site Participation Guidelines
If your child is under 12 years old, an adult caregiver must remain in the area designated by our librarians for the duration of the program. If your child finishes a program early, or if a child becomes ill, distressed, or behaves in a manner that interferes with other participants’ enjoyment of the program, they may be released from class before the program’s end time. Please ensure that your child knows exactly where to find you at all times.
