Program Description
Event Details
Join us in the MakerLab for Tinkercad's monthly design challenge! We will start each class with an introduction to the month's challenge parameters and an overview of how to use the software. Before we jump into the design step, we will discuss our ideas for the challenge as a group and discuss the design thinking process.
This class is for grades 4-7. You may either bring your own laptop or use a library laptop. Chromebooks, Windows and Mac computers will all be compatible with our software. You may also use your own Tinkercad login or use a library login. We will not be printing our designs as part of this class, though we will discuss how you can print your final designs if you would like to do so.
Registration opens October 1 at 8am.
Each month's design challenge is announced closer to the date of our class, so while we may not know what our challenge will be this month, you can check Tinkercad's past design challenges to get an idea of previous challenges or to see if they have posted the November challenge! Tinkercad invites you to submit your finished designs for the chance to be featured in the Project Roundup.
