Aging is universal and inevitable – and it doesn’t have to be daunting. With a positive attitude and some planning and foresight, we can age successfully. Join us for an informative, four-part series that will address important issues to help you, or a loved one, be prepared to age well.

Staying Put in New Canaan and New Canaan Library present, “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia”. The discussion brings clarity to an issue that often provokes anxiety and confusion.

Alzheimer’s is not normal aging. It is a specific disease of the brain that causes problems with memory, thinking, and behavior. Join us to learn about:

» The difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia.
» Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors.
» Current research and treatments available to address some symptoms.
» Alzheimer’s Association resources.
