Program Description

Event Details

Celebrate music that says “thank you” from the instrument, the builder of the instrument, and the composer. Take a gratitude trip with songs that bring out our best emotions and make us full of “gratitunes.”

The UNIQUE Series is an interactive music show created for people with special needs and neurodiverse individuals of all ages. The show is written and hosted by long-time Conservatory faculty member Rami Vamos and performed by Conservatory faculty Clare Hoffman (flute) and Ji Na Kim (piano), along with members of Orchestra Lumos clarinetist Alec Manasse and cellist Matt Goeke.

The show will engage audiences with elements of music therapy and family-friendly humor while making music accessible to individuals, families, and caregivers in an intimate concert setting.

Concordia Conservatory's Executive Director, Kathleen Suss, and Anthony Parce, Community Engagement and Education Manager for Orchestra Lumos, have partnered to introduce a truly "unique" live music experience to our neurodiverse community. Conservatory ambassadors for the UNIQUE Series are Kathleen Moriarty, Lilly Slaughter, and Ashton Turner.

Concordia Conservatory is a community music school for all ages in Bronxville and Stamford and as part of its programming provides music and arts therapy in private and group sessions in Westchester and Fairfield Counties.
