Program Description
Event Details
When a member of the string family opens their home to members of the brass and percussion families, a new family is formed—the chamber music family! Join us for a story of music and inclusion with chamber music by Brahms, Mozart, and Vamos.
The UNIQUE Series is an interactive, 30-minute concert experience created for learners with special needs and their families and caregivers and is performed by members of Orchestra Lumos and hosted by Rami Vamos and Liz Ast, faculty at Concordia Conservatory. Rami and Liz will engage audiences with elements of music therapy and family friendly humor while making classical music accessible in a small concert setting.
UNIQUE Artistic Director Elizabeth Lim-Dutton worked closely with Nicolas Gonzalez of Orchestra Lumos to bring this truly “unique” series for our neurodiverse community. Conservatory staff Kathleen Moriarty and Lilly Slaughter and Conservatory student Ashton Turner serve as Series Ambassadors.
This concert is ideal for elementary-aged children and their families.
