Figurative language describes tactile imagery through comparisons. In this Writing Tips session, we will explore the use of similes, metaphors and personifications in creative writing, and examine how some of the great writers use figurative language.  Please come prepared with laptop or writing supplies.

Writing Tip sessions are open to writers of all levels and meet once a month on Saturday mornings, focusing on different writing techniques. Instructor Laura Woodward Cavers has been a writing instructor for 10 years and holds an MFA in Creative Writing

The next Writing Tips meeting will be in January.
