Event Details
An important tool in a writer's toolbox is the writer's workshop where written work is read and critiqued by fellow aspiring writers. During this process strengths and weaknesses of plot, character, pacing, and other aspects of story development are revealed to the writer. This is a positive and transformative experience. Having a written work critiqued in this group-like setting enhances a writer's engagement with their work.
During this meeting we will learn how to create and manage a workshop and will discuss critique methods that are to encourage writers, not break them down.
This is a continuation of Developing Your Writing Life. All levels of writers are welcome.
