Program Description

Event Details

Do you love to draw? Or write? Or perhaps, both? Then this class is perfect for you! Join a few NCHS art students for a fun and creative two-day session focusing on drawing AND poetry! Students will read poems from several different genres, including haiku, rhymes, acrostic, and free verse. From these poems, students will have the opportunity to create their own poetry and drawings. At the end of the second day, students will put together a collection of their works to share with the rest of the class. Happy National Poetry Month! All materials will be provided. Please plan to attend both classes (2 p.m. April 15 and 16) as the project will develop over the two days.

*These classes are organized by NCHS junior Amy Meng, who has extensive experience in drawing, illustration, and creative writing.
