For first-time users, please book a training session prior to making a reservation. This is also a new printer as of March 2024. A training session is recommended!
The printer may be reserved up to 2 weeks in advance. The printer may be reserved up to 4 hours at a time. If you have a print that will take longer than 4 hours, please email Laura Miller to consult.
The Library has a BambuLab P1S 3D Printer. We use PLA filament. There is no cost to print at the Library, but we ask that prints take 4 hours or less to print. If you have a print that will take longer than 4 hours, please email Laura Miller to consult.
Safety & Policy Reminders!

Children younger than 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult in the Library and while using the 3D printer.

The machine has motorized and heated parts.

Never reach your hand inside the 3D printer box while there is movement of the parts.

The metal tip of the extruder reaches extremely high temperatures (see images). NEVER touch this part. Temperature can be as high as 230°C/446°F

The build plate also heats up while printing is in process. Do not touch the build plate while a print is in progress.

The MakerLab equipment, including 3D printers, may be used only for lawful purposes.

Users may not create material that is:

Prohibited by local, state or federal law.

Unsafe, harmful, dangerous or poses an immediate threat to the wellbeing of others.

Obscene or otherwise inappropriate for the Library environment.

In violation of another’s intellectual property rights.
