Interested in writing your memoir or writing down beloved family stories? How do you begin? During this four-week Tuesday afternoon seminar, you will investigate the why and how of telling your story. Class #1 - what is your motivation in writing a memoir? Class #2 - strengthen your story through sharing and learning how to revise, and Class #3 - how to expand the story with the use of photos, historical contexts, and more. These three structural meetings will set the foundation to the many stories of your life. Class #4 will be for final reflections on the work and how to continue your project. Registration for the October 1 class will register you for the entire series.
Instructor Christopher Douglass was the Scarsdale High School English department head and will bring structure to the attendees’ writing projects. He has 20 years of teaching experience and enjoys writing memoirs.
