The library is pleased to offer a new drawing course this winter. Drawing in Perspective is designed for students with a basic understanding of drawing fundamentals who want to deepen their skills in creating realistic and dynamic spatial compositions. Throughout five two-hour classes, participants will refine their ability to depict depth, proportion, and perspective, vital for constructing imaginative and observational drawings.

About the Instructor: Jeanne McDonagh is a digital arts teacher and artist who recently retired from a 32-year career at New Canaan High School. Ms. McDonagh, who considers herself a “lifelong learner,” earned her BA from Saint John’s University and an MFA in Painting and Graphic Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology. In addition to her teaching career, Jeanne McDonagh has exhibited her photography at the Mystic Museum of Art, Fairfield Museum, and Carriage Barn Arts Center.
