Welcome to Learn Spanish at the Library! Level A2 This Class is Currently FULL and CLOSED. 

This class is a series registration, please only register for the first class to attend the entire session. 

This eight-week course is designed for students who have completed an introductory Spanish course OR possess a basic foundation in the language.  Our focus will be on expanding your vocabulary, enhancing your conversational skills, and deepening your understanding of Spanish grammar and syntax.

Class Objectives:

  1. Vocabulary Building: Increase your vocabulary with thematic units covering everyday situations such as shopping, dining, travel, and hobbies.
  2. Grammar Proficiency: Review and build upon basic grammar concepts like verb conjugations in the present tense, and introduce new topics such as past tenses (preterite and imperfect), object pronouns, and more complex sentence structures.
  3. Speaking and Listening: Engage in more extended conversations, improve pronunciation, and practice listening comprehension through interactive activities, dialogues, and multimedia resources.
  4. Cultural Awareness: Explore cultural topics from various Spanish-speaking countries, including customs, traditions, and everyday life to provide a richer context for language learning.

Prerequisites:

  • Completion of an introductory Spanish course or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with basic Spanish vocabulary, grammar concepts, and common phrases.
