Program Description
Event Details
Interested in saving money and starting a business but don't know where to start? Entering grades 4-6? Look no further! Join rising high school senior Annika Khurana for a three-day crash course on smart spending, managing a budget, and creating profit. This camp will feature various hands-on activities and will also provide an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to create a product of their own and "sell" it to their peers. Concepts taught in this series can lay a foundation for financial literacy and money-management habits for years to come. Please plan to join us for all three classes (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday), as lessons will build on one another.
This program is intended for children entering grades 4-6 in Fall 2023. Registration will open 8 a.m. July 1.
Accessibility and Accommodations
We strive to facilitate access to information and Library services for all patrons. If you have questions about accessibility or a request for accommodation, please phone 203-594-5002, email the librarian in charge of this program (see contact info above), or email [email protected] with as much lead time as possible.
Youth Participation Guidelines
If your child is under 12 years old, an adult caregiver must remain in the Children’s Room for the duration of the program. If your child finishes a program early, or if a child becomes ill, distressed, or behaves in a manner that interferes with other participants’ enjoyment of the program, they may be released into the Children’s Room before the program’s end time. Please ensure that your child knows exactly where to find you at all times.
